£5 million
Time to make a difference was the strap line, muf took it literally and developed a design ad an approach for using the £5 million budget to build a series of small public projects which responded to real briefs for real situations. These individual projects formed a jigsaw in the Dome, a shared landscape for the duration of 2000, including an ice rink which pressed into and pressed into the façade of Rogers structure. Our commission was concluded late on in the process when it was clear that we were intending to actually “ do it” rather than exhibit a narrative. We in turn concluded the project with a self financed piece of reasearch “what would it take?”( to make a difference) in partnership with the Scarman Trust.
