An immersive environment as critique of the concept of the white cube gallery space.
The installation included a latex ceiling swollen with water (as if bearing down the weight of the Smithson Building above) windows covered in text and 2 videos of compromised white surfaces.
As night fell the the unlit ceiling became more reflective and the activities of the street were reflected back into the space.
The text written on the windows Purity and Tolerance was by the late katherine Shonfield (collaborator with muf 1995-2003)
