The overarching vision transformed each site to create inclusive social space for all the varied constituents of the neighborhood, where the street is a destination and an effective route to the pleasures of the surrounding hinterland, where history is celebrated both as fragile archaeological remains above and below ground and as the passage of time evident in the mature trees that contribute so much to the street.

Anti-social behaviour is countered through design, all materials are robust and low maintenance and the design aspirations are matched by mechanisms for management and stewardship for each site.
