A direct outcome of muf's Open Spaces For Young People study, the Social Muga is a prototype for an open space that expands the normative typology of the sport-centered amenity.

A direct outcome of muf's Open Spaces For Young People study, the Social Muga is a prototype for an open space that expands the normative typology of the sport-centered amenity.

The design is based on the understanding of the importance of spectatorship for young people and acknowledges their diverse needs, and provides a sanctioned space for socialising at a time when socialising of young people is often interpreted as undesired behaviour.

The ball games area is extended into an area furnished with multiple props for gathering, including a bespoke table of domestic character.
